Abstract. Now the problem of non-destructive control of various metal designs, and also welded seams as reliability of installation or a design as a whole depends on their quality is actual. The most of modern methods are limited in the application. So, for acoustic defectoscopes is need preparation of a surface and also direct contact, radioscopy it is inapplicable for check of thick-walled pipes, the powder method is very expensive. For many magnetic methods is need pre-magnetisation of a detail that is not always possible. Offered defectoscope it is free from many demerits. The principle of its work is based on change normal components of a field near to defect. The detail does not need to be magnetised preliminary, sensitivity of the device has enough for work in the field of the Earth. Sensors are Hall converters which are passive and do not change a field around itself. Besides, the device have small dimensions and weight.
Key words: inspection, precision measurement, nondestructive testing, magnetometry, Hall sensor, dynamic offset compensation techniques.
