Abstract. In this paper the results of experimental IR spectrum of amide of β-pyridinecarboxylic acid are presented. The spectra of pyridine and amide of β-pyridinecarboxylic acid are compared. Also the differences in IR spectra of pyridine and amide of β-pyridinecarboxylic acid are analyzed.

Key words: amide of β-pyridinecarboxylic acid, nicotinamide, vibrational spectrum, transmission spectrum, analysis of the spectrum, characteristic frequencies.
