Abstract. The model of the process of the molecular hydrogen formation on the dust particle surface of interstellar medium has suggested in the paper. Silica crystal has considered as the dust particle. The geometry characters, UV and IR spectra of the dust particles and the particles with hydrogen atoms adsorbed on its surface have calculated by semi-empirical and ab initio methods of the quantum chemistry. The modeling the elementary act of hydrogen molecule synthesis on silica surface has carried out, the energetic advantage has shown.
